On uprising

Own and other manifests

Dear friends and companions,

My memorandum for tolerance in Europe had been read on the 1.2.2012 in more than 100 theatres and institutions all over Europe. Amongst them the Burgtheater, Akademietheater, Theater in der Josefstadt, Volkstheater - all in Vienna, the Klagenfurter Stadttheater, Linzer Landestheater in Austria, the Münchner Kammerspiele in Munich, the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, the Théâtre National de Bruxelles, the Théâtre Rond-Point in Paris, in 68 english theatres and theatres in Greece, Hungary, Slowenia, Spain, Netherlands , Sweden, Finnland, Tchec Republic and Chile.

And?

Has it changed something?

....

???

"Il ne faut pas craindre la lumière du soleil sous prétexte qu'elle n'a presque toujours servi qu'a éclairer un monde misérable", says Réne Magritte on this behalf... (you should not fear the sunlight with the excuse, it almost always puts light to a horrible world)

To this and the perpetual occasion I am reading own and others manifests at the Porgy&Bess Jazz Club in Vienna, honoring my beloved Kurt Vonnegut, who invented the unholy oder calling it "Our Lady of Perpetual Astonishment".

Here a beautiful encouriging episode, written 1992-1993 by Elias Canetti:

Farmers in Karnataka, South India:After useless protests durimng several months, farmers gathered in front of the House of Parliament and laughed during 2 hours at the government. 2000 policemen were watching and did not interfere.
