Dear friends and companions, after an inspiring and exciting collaboration with the Teatro Yuyachkani in Lima, which meant for me the encounter of a new artistic family, and an intensive working period at the Escuela Nacional del Teatro de Bolivia in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, founded and wonderfully managed by incredible Marcos Malavia, I've returned to Vienna. Several new projects are coming up here, to which I would like to invite you most cordially. |

San IgnacioLast but not least a small sensation: I've travelled to the Jesuit missions in Bolivia's jungle, founded in the 16th century, and searched through their archives. I knew of the Tyrolean Jesuit priest Anton Sepp, who came to South America in the 17th century, in order to teach the Guarani indians baroque church music. As I discovered there, they composed instrumental music – and, as I had hoped for, operas. I happened to come across such musical works and acquired the performing rights. It is the story of Ignaz of Loyola, which I want to present in Vienna next spring. |
