Autumn 2015

Dear friends and companions,

I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing summer.

We managed to complete our movie „Winterjourney – a forced march“, which became through the present tragedy of refugees in Europe a frightening actuality. In a tragic sense this film became more important than ever.

We combined the poems by Wilhelm Müller with the ones by the jewish-hungarian poet Miklós Radnóti, who had been shot in the neck during a forced march through Hungary, when he became too weak to continue. His poems were found in his pocket, when they exhumated his corps.

I am happy and grateful that we were able to produce this film without any cent of public money, due to the generosity of the numberous supporters and sponsors.
The film turned out very beautiful, with powerful images and a fabulous soundtrack by Donka Angatschewa playing breathtakingly Schubert and Liszt.

We are glad to announce the first public screening of „Winterreise – ein Gewaltmarsch“ in german language on 20th September 2015 at 20h in Brick 5, Fünfhausgasse 5, 1150 Vienna.

As bonustrack you will find on the DVD the Short Movie „Fremdkörper“, which I have produced together with Rebekah Wild, starring Therese Cafasso. At the first public screening of this film at the Porgy&Bess Club in Vienna Renald Deppe played live on a prepared piano. This recording – including the sounds of the public – became the soundtrack of this film.

The DVD is now available. It costs 15.-€ plus 3.-€ shipping.
There is the possibility to purchase this DVD as special supporter for 25.-€.

With my best regards

Sincerely yours
