Winter 2015/2016

Dear Friends and companions,

I wish you all a happy, healthy and inspired new year and want to express my joy and gratitude that you keep being curious about my work. And there are some very special projects to announce, indeed...

I will be glad to meet you soon at one of these occasions.

Best regards

„5. European Theatre day of Tolerance“, 1. February 2016

On 1. February 2016 we commit already the „5th European  Theatre day of Tolerance“. On this occasion I wrote a new memorandum which touches the present political situation in Europe. Inevitably it becomes more and more important to remind people of tolerance and human rights. Please read this memorandum to your public and to your friends. Like every year about 1000 theaters and concert-halls are going to declaim this memorandum before the performance of this day.

„The Cloudpump –
a dadasophic hommage to Raoul Hausmann“ 5. February 2016

On 5. February 1916 in a back room of a restaurant in Spiegel Street in Zürich the so-called „Cabaret Voltaire“ was found, which was the birth of the DADA movement. Exactly 100 years later we perform a dadasophic homage to the only Austrian Dadaist Raoul Hausmann – also in the back-room of a restaurant. „The cloud pump“ will be a very special and unique experience of music theatre in honor of this great Viennese artist, who is until today completely neglected in his home town.

With Ingala Fortagne, Stephanie Schmiderer, Andrea Köhler, Béla Bufe and Florian Hackspiel.

„Dress Flight“ – a fashion show without models with dresses of Elfriede Gerstl

Beginning of march we are showing another very special piece of contemporary music theatre in the Jazz Club „Porgy&Bess“ in Vienna. „Flying dresses“ will be a fashion show without models with dresses of the heritage of the outstanding and famous Austrian poet Elfriede Gerstl. Elfriede Gerstl was not only one of the most important writers and poets of her time but also a fanatic collector of dresses from 1900 onwards which resulted in a breathtaking and beautiful collection of extravagant testimonies of different periods of fashion design. We have the big honor, to put some of her dresses on stage.

Raja Schwahn-Reichmann and the Ensemble Schlüterwerke

The text „Dress flight“ appeared at the Edition Splitter

On 3.3., 4.3. and 5.3. 2016 at 19 h in
Brennkammer of „Porgy&Bess“
Riemergasse 11
1010 Vienna

Thanks to Batya Horn and the Droschl Verlag for allowing to use the text and to Raja Schwahn-Reichmann for the dresses of Elfriede Gerstl
